Sigiriya is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in the central Part of Matale District of Sri Lanka. It is famous for its ancient rock fortress with a palace of top, known as the Lion Rock, which rises dramatically above the surrounded by an extensive network of gardens, reservoirs, and other structures.

It is three hour drive from Katunayake International Airport to Sigiriya. Nearly 145 km drive.If you're staying in Dambulla or nearby, it's about a 30-minute drive to Sigiriya.
